what to expect

Welcome to your newborn photography session at Oh, So Savvy Photography! To help ensure a smooth and relaxed experience, here are a few important details to keep in mind:

Arrival Time
Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled session. This allows time for any last-minute feedings or preparations.

Session Duration
Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours. We take plenty of breaks for feedings, diaper changes, and cuddles, ensuring your little one is happy and comfortable throughout the session.

Studio Environment
To keep your baby warm and cozy, the studio is maintained between 25-29°C. Newborns can lose body temperature quickly, especially when unclothed, so we take extra care to ensure they stay warm. You might want to dress in layers to stay comfortable as well!

Accidents Happen!
It’s completely normal for babies to pee or poo during the session. Don’t worry—this happens all the time! We have plenty of wipes, pads, and everything needed to keep things clean. All items are washed and sanitized after each session.

Pacifiers
The “soothie” pacifier is highly recommended for soothing newborns during the session. Even if you're not planning on regular pacifier use, I encourage you to bring one. Using a pacifier for a short time during the session won’t affect any habit-forming behaviors, and it helps keep your baby calm and content.

Feeding Reminder
Please give your baby a full feed before arriving to help start the session smoothly. If you are bottle-feeding, consider bringing extra bottles or milk, as babies may feed more than usual during the session. Feel free to bring snacks for yourself as well.

Sentimental Items

Clothing
I will primarily be photographing your baby unclothed to capture their sweet, tiny features, like squishy toes and cute bums. However, feel free to bring any special outfits or accessories if you have them in mind.

Relax and Unwind
A white noise machine will be running to help soothe your baby. You can sit back, relax, read a book, or even take a nap while we take care of everything.
